Position Overview

NANO Nuclear Energy is seeking an uncompromising, highly experienced Quality Assurance Manager to own and elevate our corporate Quality Assurance Program. In strict alignment with NANO's corporate scaling and titling guidelines, this role will initially be designated at the Manager level. Upon successfully demonstrating operational excellence, team leadership, and cultural fit through a defined due diligence period, the candidate will be eligible for a direct promotion to the Director of Quality Assurance (DQA) title.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, the QA Manager serves as the senior owner and accountable lead for the Quality Assurance Program, with sufficient independence and direct executive access to escalate safety or quality matters. This ensures that all advanced reactor development, engineering, and procurement activities strictly adhere to industry regulations and NANO’s internal quality standards without implying that QA owns quality to the exclusion of the rest of the NANO team. This is an active people-management role; the candidate will step in as a leader on day one, taking on the immediate personnel management of up to three (3) direct reports.

Key Responsibilities (The QA Mandate)

The QA Manager serves as the accountable lead for the Quality Assurance Program requirements and is responsible for the following:

• Team Leadership & Management: Act as the dedicated Reporting Manager for the QA department, directly managing, mentoring, and prioritizing the daily tasks and performance outcomes of up to three (3) initial direct reports.
• Program Authority: Act as the senior owner and accountable lead for the Quality Assurance Program, maintaining sufficient independence and direct executive access to the CEO to escalate critical safety or quality matters.
• Audit & Surveillance: Conduct selected reviews and perform surveillances/audits to assure that all design documents are prepared, reviewed, and approved in strict accordance with industry Quality Assurance Program requirements.
• Supply Chain QA: Review procurement documents as necessary to verify and enforce QA requirements with vendors and subcontractors.
• Corrective Action Program: Maintain comprehensive Company tracking of conditions adverse to quality and non-conformances; actively verify and enforce closure of these issues as required.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Participate in Company program interface meetings, ensuring QA is embedded in all engineering, testing, and operational decisions.
• Delegation & Ownership: While specific tasks may be designated to other QA personnel, the QA Manager retains absolute program ownership and responsibility at the management level.

Qualifications & Executive Profile

To successfully guide NANO through NRC regulations and commercial deployment, we are targeting highly experienced candidates who bring:

• 10 to 15 years of dedicated Nuclear Quality Assurance experience.
• 5+ years of experience working directly at a nuclear utility.
• 5+ years of leadership experience serving as a QA Manager or Director.
• Certifications: Active Lead Auditor Certification.
• Technical Expertise: Extensive, practical knowledge of ASME Codes.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related science field.

• Lead the implementation, optimization, and long-term ownership of Teamcenter PLM across the organization 

• Serve as the internal subject matter expert on Teamcenter, including system architecture, integrations, and workflows

• Partner with external contractors currently implementing Teamcenter, while reducing long-term dependency on third parties

• Design and implement scalable processes and workflows to support engineering and product lifecycle management

• Support and train engineering teams on best practices and effective system usage, helping manage the steep learning curve

• Provide company-wide PLM support, troubleshooting issues and improving system adoption

• Work cross-functionally to integrate Teamcenter with existing tools and systems (10,000+ software components in scope) 

• Help transition PLM ownership fully in-house, reducing reliance on outsourced support and associated costs 

 • Ensure the Teamcenter environment (including server setup) evolves into a fully mature, production-ready system

• Lead engineering efforts across the full lifecycle: concept development, detailed design, and progression to production ready systems 

• Own and manage scope within the engineering domain 

• Provide day-to-day technical leadership and guidance, including reviewing engineering work and supporting problem-solving 

• Be hands-on for the next 6–12 months, actively involved in technical work while setting direction and standards 

• Guide engineering deliverables at the product/system level, not just concept or analysis 

• Lead the organization through critical development phases toward execution and deployment 

• Manages an engineering organization of ~15–20 engineers (not all direct reports) 

Qualifications

• 15-25 years of engineering experience, must have been in this role before (or a very close equivalent) 

• Expected to be a positive, ego free, humble leader, reviews team output and provides clear technical direction 

• Strong hands-on engineering background, ideally within nuclear or highly regulated engineering environments. 

• An engineer who has done the work and led teams through full product lifecycles. 

• Experience advancing programs from conception through production, not isolated phases 

• Experience with managing a growing team 

We are looking for highly skilled Licensing Engineers with expertise in licensing research and test reactors and power reactors to support our current and future KRONOS MMR™ microreactor projects.  Experience with NRC licensing requirements in 10 CFR Part 50 and 10 CFR Part 52 and associated NRC guidance is expected.  Additional familiarity with NRC guidance and industry developments associated with advanced non-light water reactors is a significant enhancement for prospective applicants. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the development of timely submittal of high quality and complete licensing documents for NRC approval of advanced non-light water reactors. 

Responsibilities

• Develop licensing documents (e.g., Topical Reports, PSAR, FSAR, etc.) in accordance with applicable NRC guidance and established project commitments and schedules.
• Interface with responsible system engineers to ensure supporting design documents provide objective evidence of statements of fact included in licensing documents submitted to regulatory authorities.
• Interface and work with applicants to ensure licensing product deliverables meet customer requirements and ensure regulatory compliance of topical reports, construction permit application, operating license application, and other licensing documents.
• Support interactions with NRC during pre-application engagements, during NRC review of submitted licensing documents, and during NRC audits.
• Participate in NRC public meetings and remain abreast and up to date on NRC and industry developments associated with advanced non-light water reactors and microreactors.
• Support development of company policies and project procedures to support implementation of KRONOS MMR™ projects. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and standard work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant Science or Engineering field (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Engineering Science, Physics, Mathematics).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in licensing and/or engineering, preferably in the nuclear or energy industries.

• Knowledge and application of NRC guidance in NUREG-1537, NUREG-0800, and Reg Guides 1.70 and 1.206.
• Familiarity with NRC guidance and industry initiatives associated with advanced non-light water reactors such as RG 1.232, RG 1.233, RG 1.242, and RG 1.253, and NEI 18-04 and NEI 21-07, etc.
• Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards typically used for compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. ACI, ANS/ANSI, ASME, IEEE, etc.).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with specific licensing documentation requirements, public transparency requirements, information withholding requirements and procedures, and document processing requirements and processes for licensing documents.

Nano Nuclear Energy is seeking a senior executive to lead the company’s strategic expansion across the nuclear fuel cycle and to oversee the acquisition and development of key uranium processing assets. The Director of Fuel Facilities Operations will be responsible for developing and maintaining the corporate infrastructure for fuel facilities and their implementation to further Nano’s vision for commercialization of nuclear fuel products. 

The Director’s initial focus and responsibility will be to ensure the successful implementation of Nano’s conversion facility project in Argentina. To support these, primary familiarity and experience with fuel facilities quality and development requirements along deep knowledge on uranium conversion and processing for fuel manufacture. To support Nano’s vision, the Director will also be responsible for assembling and developing project teams to support potential design certification and/or installation and procurement efforts associated with Nano’s fuel facilities line.

Responsibilities

1. Stakeholder and Contractor Alignment for Fuel Facility Developments.

•  Lead alignment across stakeholders and external partners (EPC firms, contractors, vendors, and consultants) to ensure seamless execution of facility development projects across domestic and international locations. 

•  Establish governance structures, communication cadences, and decision-making frameworks to maintain accountability and transparency throughout the project lifecycle. 

•  Ensure contractor performance aligns with organizational standards for safety, quality, cost, and schedule through structured oversight and performance management processes.

2. Technical & Strategical Objectives Compliance

• Provide direction and guidance to Nano staff and contractors performing design, quality assurance, quality control, procurement, and licensing activities associated with Nano’s fuel facilities branch.

• Set and enforce technical standards and strategic priorities for all fuel facility-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals and operational requirements. 

• Provide executive-level direction to multidisciplinary teams responsible for engineering design, procurement, QA/QC, commissioning, and regulatory licensing.

3. Technical Design Coordination and Communication

• Serve as the senior technical authority, translating complex engineering concepts into actionable insights for executive leadership and cross-functional teams. 

• Oversee coordination of design activities across disciplines to ensure consistency, constructability, and operational readiness to minimize misalignment and rework.

• Advise on the technical implications of design changes, process improvements, and capital investments, ensuring informed decision-making. 

4.  Fuel Cycle Innovation & Market Positioning

• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive benchmarks related to facility design, processing, preparation, and fabrication. 

• Drive innovation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality and throughput. 

• Collaborate with executive leadership to align facility strategies with broader market positioning and growth objectives.

5. Project Execution Oversight 

• Provide executive oversight of capital projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations. 

• Develop and implement standardized project management frameworks, tools, and reporting mechanisms to drive consistency and accountability. 

• Anticipate and mitigate project risks, resolving critical issues that could impact delivery timelines or operational performance that ensure successful project handoff to operations.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Nuclear Engineering, Nuclear Science, or a related technical field; an MBA or equivalent executive level business qualification strongly preferred.

• Significant leadership experience (typically 15+ years) across the nuclear fuel cycle, nuclear logistics, or advanced reactor ecosystems.

• Demonstrated success in enterprise level strategy development, M&A integration, and the scaling of technical organizations.

• Deep expertise in nuclear materials management, safeguards, packaging technologies, dry storage systems, and transportation cask licensing, with strong familiarity across NRC, DOT, DOE, and IAEA regulatory frameworks.

• Proven ability to build and manage strategic partnerships with utilities, national laboratories, government agencies, and commercial suppliers.

• Experience representing organizations in senior level industry, regulatory, and international forums.

• Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into actionable corporate strategy.

• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and guide organizations through growth, integration, and operational transformation.

We are looking for a highly skilled Material Engineer with expertise in materials science, ASME codes and standards, and graphite applications to support our reactor design, fabrication, and operational goals. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring material compatibility, performance, and modeling in highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities:

• Inform the selection of materials and their performance as part of our nuclear reactor plant systems.
• Work with suppliers to interpret specifications/standards and optimize production methods/techniques.
• Review supplier and service provider to support the development of the supply chain and acquisition of materials.
• Perform material performance analyses to support design, manufacturing, construction and operation activities. 
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and standard work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in relevant Science or Engineering field (Materials, Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in material science or engineering, preferably in the nuclear, energy, or aerospace industries.
• Knowledge of material behavior under extreme environment.
• Experience with material fatigue, wear, fretting and other degradation phenomena.
• Familiarity with material manufacturing and processes.
• Knowledge of relevant international codes and standards (e.g. ASME).

We are seeking a Graphite Specialist with specialized experience in graphite, ASME code & standards, and general mechanical system design to support our reactor development projects. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance, performance, and safety of mechanical systems incorporating graphite materials under extreme environments. 

Responsibilities:

• Design mechanical systems incorporating graphite materials, ensuring optimal performance and durability.
• Ensure compliance with ASME codes and industry standards.
• Develop technical specifications, design documentation, and engineering drawings.
• Participate in supplier evaluations and material procurement related to graphite components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including material science, quality, and operations, to integrate graphite components into system designs.
• Conduct structural analysis, material compatibility evaluations, and failure analysis for graphite-related components.
• Support testing, validation, and commissioning activities involving graphite systems.

 Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical system design, including graphite applications.
• Strong understanding of ASME codes and standards.
• Experience in structural analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) required.
• Excellent problem-solving, technical writing, and communication skills.
• Experience with project and contract management is preferred. 
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure is a plus. 

NANO Nuclear is seeking an entrepreneurial and business-oriented Corporate Counsel to support the Company's continued growth and strategic initiatives. The Corporate Counsel will serve as a key member of the Company's legal team and provide practical legal support across a broad range of corporate, commercial, governance, operational, and regulatory matters. This position will work closely with executive leadership, business leaders, in-house and external legal advisors to support the Company's business objectives while helping identify, manage, and mitigate legal risk.

The ideal candidate will have approximately 4–7 years of experience in corporate law, commercial transactions, M&A, and will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

This role will provide counsel to Company management and Legal Department, coordinate with external legal counsel, and take ownership of legal projects  within the Legal Department with drafting, research, and other tasks. Candidates must have excellent analytical, communication, legal research and writing skills.

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Approximately 4–7 years of combined law firm and in-house corporate experience
• Experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, corporate governance, or related areas.
• Strong business acumen, and ability to understand and focus on the Company’s business priorities.
• Strong legal research, drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with little to no supervision.
